On April 28, the President of the Islamic Republic of Iran, Masoud Pezeshkian, paid an official visit to Baku.  Following the recent visit of Dr. Masoud Pezeshkian to the Republic of Azerbaijan, and with the approval and directive from Ilham Aliyev, President of Azerbaijan, and in coordination with the Central Bank of that country, the Baku branch of Bank Melli Iran will resume its operations. According to the public relations office of Bank Melli Iran, this move marks a positive step toward strengthening economic and trade relations between the two countries, and is seen as encouraging news for Iranian economic actors operating in Azerbaijan — one of the key achievements of President Pezeshkian’s economic visit to Baku.

Iran’s President paid an official one-day visit to Baku, where he met and held talks with President Ilham Aliyev. During the meeting, both sides emphasized expanding bilateral cooperation across various sectors, particularly in the economic domain.
